The hotel offers comfortable beds and friendly staff who ensure a pleasant stay, but some areas need improvement. Certain meals, like the Christmas dinner, fell short of expectations, and access to gluten-free options was limited. a decent place to relax.

The golf course was in fantastic shape, and I enjoyed the pool and sauna after a long day. Loved the jacuzzi bathtub!

Rooms are comfortable and modern, with great views of the golf course. Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, especially during our dining experience where the food, including tasty sourdough bread, was excellent. we did encounter some initial oversights with our Gold Status amenities and experienced loud noises from a school group during breakfast, which slightly detracted from our stay.

we loved our stay at the mercure! the standard double room was spacious and clean, and the staff were super friendly and professional. the location is perfect, just a short drive from where we had her nails done. the spa facilities were a highlight too, especially the hot tub. the food in the restaurant was delicious and exceeded our expectations.

The hotel was really nice with cosy beds and a large room, which was clean and peaceful. we had a modern family room with a nice widescreen tv. the staff were friendly and welcoming.
but the breakfast was cold and missing a lot of items, which was disapointing. also, the gym opening time was wrong on the website, that was super annoying.

would definitely go again
The Superior King Room was super comfy with a big bathroom, a jacuzzi bathtub, and modern decor. Enjoyed the self-serve breakfast that had fresh options and tasty hot meals. Spa facilities included a lovely indoor pool, sauna, and great massages. The staff were super nice and helpful, making the stay even better.

I enjoyed my stay while attending a concert, and the spacious room with a comfy bed made it all the more pleasant. The indoor swimming pool and spa services were great ways to unwind after the event. The only downside was the occasional noise from the hallway, but overall, it was a good experience worth repeating! 😊

Nice stay but some hiccups
Had a decent 4-night stay. The room was nice and comfy with a fab dual shower. Love the breakfast spread, especially the full English! But they didn’t clean my room one night and the heating was a bit nuts. enjoyed it but the service could use some improvement.

great access to parks and local attractions for city explorers
I truly appreciated the short distance to Oliver Henderson Park, just a little over 2 km away, where I enjoyed peaceful walks and beautiful scenery, and the friendly atmosphere made my stay really enjoyable. while the breakfast had room for improvement, I still found the beds comfortable and appreciated the swimming facilities available.

It was just a strong match for taking strolls in Washington with reasonable value. The front desk staff provided great local taxi information and bus routes when we needed to visit the hospital. Make sure to ask for what you need directly, as it may not be readily available.

Just a nice choice for a whistle-stop in Washington (Durham) with best value. The breakfast room had only one staff member, but they kept things moving while I enjoyed my meal. If you're staying over a weekend, it's worth checking if any events might make it noisy.
